Dr. Meaghan Goodman, program director of our speech-language pathology and communication sciences and disorders programs, brings a world of expertise to Maryville’s online Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology.
Dr. Goodman’s background spans a variety of specializations, such as evaluation, pediatric dysphagia, language development and disorders of children, augmentative and alternative communication, and special populations in speech-language pathology, including autism, cleft lip/palate, craniofacial anomalies, voice, and fluency disorders. Additionally, Dr. Goodman has extensively studied interprofessional education and practice.
Dr. Goodman also provides clinical supervision of graduate students in Maryville University’s Speech Language Pathology Clinic. Here, she oversees the simulated learning experiences and supervises the Language & Literacy (L2) group, and the Autism Diagnostic Team.
Prior to joining the faculty at Maryville University, Dr. Goodman worked in a variety of medical and school-based settings, serving young children through adolescents. With more than 10 years of clinical experience in speech-language pathology, Dr. Goodman understands the importance of practicing culturally responsive and identify-affirming care.
